God's perfect timing

I love Lysa TerKeurst. God speaks the most timely words through her blog for me time and time again. Go here to see what I mean.

Today is especially a day when I need a little extra encouragement. When I am feeling blue, I want to EAT!

Dreary rain, and thunderstorms are heavy in the clouds. I have been very fatigued, and just don't feel well...and that makes me want to EAT!

I tried to run yesterday but only got less than 3 miles done. That doesn't necessarily make me want to eat...but it does make me feel a little disappointed.

I kind of feel like the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie books. The circle of "this-causes-that" which leads to me eating is crazy when you step back and think about it. I don't want to let my emotions control my food. I want to follow my plan and not have emotional attachments to my good,

When I feel tempted to throw our my plan and eat whatever I want, I will remember this from Lysa's blog:
"God’s provision sustains life. Satan’s temptation drains life.

God’s provision in the short-term will reap blessings in the long term. Satan’s temptation in the short term will reap heartache in the long term.

God’s provision satisfies the soul. Satan’s temptation gratifies the flesh."

Thank you Jesus for telling me just what I needed to hear!
